The two Bellingham brothers, Jude and Jobe, will not play against each other in the 2025 Club World Cup quarter-final.
This is because Jobe, who recently signed for Borussia Dortmund, picked up a booking in their 2-1 win over Monterrey on Wednesday morning.
The yellow card rules the 19-year-old out of the clash against Real Madrid on Saturday.
If Jobe had avoided going into the referee's book, he would have been available to face his elder brother, Jude, for the first time in their careers.
Serhou Guirassy scored twice within 10 minutes for the Bundesliga side, to send them on thei way to a win against Monterrey.
Although German Berterame pulled one back three minutes after the break, it was merely a consolation goal in the end.
Earlier in the day, Jude had played in the Madrid team that defeated Juventus 1-0, to qualify for the last eight.
